FUJITSU ETERNUS Storage Solutions
ETERNUS storage systems developed by Fujitsu will maximize your
return on investment. They are based on the concept of providing
outstanding storage solutions and management tools regardless of
business scale. Using the same high design principles seen across the
entire Fujitsu storage product range, ETERNUS2000 delivers enterprise
class functionality at an entry level price. The following key
points let you see how new ETERNUS2000 can solve your problems and meet
your storage requirements. Click on each image model for specific product model information

ETERNUS storage systems support lower cost options such as iSCSI. This enables remote data transfer using SCSI adapters and
less expensive public communication technology such as FTTH (Fibre to the Home).Security
issues implicit in using such public circuits are also covered by the
availability of IPsec encryption on all communication paths. Therefore
ETERNUS storage systems achieve both security assurance and
cost-effectiveness.
ETERNUS storage systems
also support the mixing of Ultra-high speed and Nearline FC disk drives
in the same cabinet. Nearline FC disk drives are an excellent lower
cost option for fast access to less frequently used data previously
archived to less accessible tape library systems.
"Be Prepared" for unexpected events is another necessity when looking
at the long-term secure management of your business data and legal commitments.
ETERNUS storage systems, with their component redundancy and support for RAID 6
remain secure even in the very rare event of two simultaneous disk
drive failures in the same RAID group. All major hardware components
can also be hot-swapped and hot-expanded ensuring non-stop production
operation. Even natural disasters are covered by a range of recovery
features that ensure ongoing operation while matching different budgets
and speed requirements. All these ETERNUS storage system initiatives boost long-term reliability and ensure secure business operation.

Data Sheet

The history of storage system implementation is littered with Enterprises
who faced difficulties in "connectivity" and "interoperability". There is
as yet no perfect interoperability between storage systems from different
vendors. As a result some data migrations, system expansions and data
integration tasks can become hard work. Fujitsu
continues to work with other major storage vendors for alliances and
storage standardization, while in parallel providing practical
solutions through verification of ETERNUS storage system connectivity
in multi-vendor system environments. This way Fujitsu can provide the
expertise to minimize the workloads of storage system expansion and
migration.
We believe that Fujitsu's approach towards ever better quality is the
reason why ETERNUS storage systems are chosen by many enterprises.
